I started working for the Partnership as an ‘A level trainee’ in the lampshade frames and trimmings section of Haberdashery. Mrs Odell was the DM and Patsy Hibble was my ‘sponsor’. I remember a friendly team of many many staff who were always on hand to help customers. Unfortunately the haberdashery departments of JLP today have hardly any staff, pre-packed quantities of ribbons etc and just the one till point. Bring back the old days 🙂
