With the factory doors closed to normal operations due to the Coronavirus crisis. Partners at Herbert Parkinson decided that they wanted to do their bit to make a difference and help our NHS heroes.
Despite being a new product for the team, on the first day Partners managed to sew 160 gowns, a number which will rise to 400 a day when the full team are present.
In an interview with The Gazette, Julie Toplis, Production Manager at Herbert Parkinson said: ” “Talking to partners about how they feel is wonderful as they are all filled with pride and a sense of doing something worthwhile to help the NHS fight this terrible virus. This is a very humbling experience and one that the team and myself feel proud to be part of.”
