The Community Hub
An entirely new concept introduced with the opening of John Lewis Birmingham, the Community Hub is a free space for local groups and charities to meet and use for their work.
Considered a great success by the branch, the room was booked up for 320 days out of the year by 224 different groups in 2018. The Community Hub is considered an incredibly valuable asset to the local community who would otherwise struggle to find space to hold events and meeting due to costs.
We’ve been able to support hundreds of charities and groups over the past three years and, in turn, that allows us to support the community.” said John Lewis Birmingham’s Marketing and Community Liaison Co-ordinator Shani Ellis in 2018.
