Trafford Wins Two Years Running

On 18th May 2007, The Gazette reported that Trafford had won two of the top awards given out by the Trafford Centre in recognition of retailers there. John Lewis Trafford took home both Best Manager, recognising Operations Manager Mark Gifford who had been nominated by Partners to receive the award, and the big award of the night, the Richard Bonner Award for Outstanding Contribution to the Trafford Centre.

The Outstanding Contribution award was given for the second year to John Lewis Trafford on the basis that they provided the best customer service, events and support for the centre. In addition, the winning store must also be seen to have a positive impact on the reputation of the Trafford Centre.

Talking to The Gazette, Mark Gifford commented “To win it for two years running is fantastic because it reflects not just the quality of what we offer, but how we do it…This is testament to everyone’s hard work, dedication and professionalism.”
