While the Rambling Club were staying at Leckford, they took a walk to the Longstock Water Gardens and on the way made a detour to see the grave of Spedan Lewis’s wife which can be found under an oak tree in a field next to the cemetery. The inscription on the stone is to Sarah Beatrice Mary, wife of J Spedan Lewis.
