The following letter was published in the branch Chronicle.
This was about the Retired Partners annual Winter lunch arranged by the branch Area Retirement Co-ordinator, Diane Wise.

‘Dear Sir
I would like to thank all those who helped Diane Wise last Monday [26.1.09] for our lunch at the White House Hotel.  It was a lovely atmosphere and I was in great company.  I was one of the lucky few who was picked out of the raffle at the end of the lunch and won an electric food mixer.  I consider myself very lucky.
Thank you to Marion and Ian Hudson [who organised the raffle] and my nice new prize is on proud display in my kitchen.
Thank you again Diane for all your hard work.
Yours,
Peggy Mahor
Retired Partner’
