A Unique Branch

As the Partnership’s smallest John Lewis shop, John Lewis and Partners Heathrow is certainly a one-of-a-kind branch.

With each of its small team of 31 having to undergo security checks everyday before their shifts begin, the morning routine at Heathrow would certainly be unusual for the majority Partners. Flexibility is also expected of Partners, and Partners are engaged in a range of activities to keep the operation running smoothly.

Every single product has to be individually priced and the store caters to the wide variety of customers that come through their doors business people, tourists and airport worker alike. In an interview with The Gazette, Branch Manager Lyn Brownlie commented.  “We’re probably the only branch that can anticipate and forward plan which type of customer will come in and when, based on the flight schedules. It helps us match our trade patterns so we have the right number of Partners at the right times.”
