Trewins Queens Road Jan 1941 after bombing

During the War, Watford was frequently attacked in air raids.  One bomb in 1941 damaged the shop but it managed to remain trading.

  • The bombing in Watford started very early in the war. Trewins was bombed on January 2 1941 with a hit on the toy department. Good thing it was after Christmas otherwise there would have been a lot of unhappy children in Watford.
