1990 Trewins moved into the new Harlequin Centre. The old shop closed on 11th August, Partners came back the next day and moved the stock from the old shop into the new one. The new shop opened for business the following Wednesday morning.

On the Sunday all partners helped with the move. We pushed cages filled with stock from the old shop to our new one. I remember it was a very hot day so we were glad when we were given tasks in the new building which was air conditioned. Mr Van der Pant encouraged us with messages on the new tannoy system.
