This drawing of Osborne House c1891, shows one of the finest business establishments in Queens Road. It was near the Post Office and the new Wesleyan Church. The frontage was 54 feet long and consisted of two very large windows with a central entrance.
Tastefully dressed windows and a well stocked interior show that Mr Trewin obviously had a good knowledge of the needs of the people of Watford, as when this drawing was published he had already been trading for eleven years.
I found this drawing in a booklet called “Shopping in Victorian Watford.”
