We all took great price in our sections i stayed in Haby until 1987 when my son was born .I cannot think of another shop that has more choice

  • JUST LOOKING AT OLD PHOTOS OF HABY I’M CONFUSED; SEWING MACHINES AND THOSE HORRIBLE DUMMIES USED TO BE IN THE MIDDLE OF HABY, BETWEEN NAPKINS AND WOOL.  THE SEWING PATTERNS WHERE ON THE BACK WALL BY QUEENS ROAD. THIS WAS IN THE 1983.

[These photo’s were taken just before the old shop closed in 1990.]

  • My Grandmother used to work in the department (Marjorie Hutchinson.)  Sadly she has just passed away.  I would love to hear from anyone who remembered her, any memories or stories.  I am writing a book about her life and would love to include anything you have to share.
    Thanks, Nick

I remember Eileen and Sue.  Sue used to help with the childrens parties.  Trewins was the best.  Great old fashioned service, with a smile, bring back the old days…

  • Not meaning to be picky but weren’t paper patterns part of Dress Fabrics?  I am sure the first photo is looking towards Queens Road doors. Perhaps the layout changed after I moved to High Wycombe?
