Rejuvenating Glasgow

Construction got underway in 1996, by which point the Buchanan Galleries centre had also been given the go-ahead. The Partnership’s third and largest department store was being built in conjunction with the Buchanan Galleries to rejuvenate the area, to restore the particular part of Glasgow to its former glories. The branch would have a leading role in this development, accounting for over half the centre’s total square-footage. This once again highlighted the Partnership as fore-thinkers of modernity, with the cities greater interests at heart. Construction was very much in hand, and completed to schedule.
